Dr. Ashley Ott is a native of Baldwin County growing up in Foley, Alabama. After graduating from Foley High School in 2002, Dr. Ott attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL obtaining her BA in Anthropology. Later, she attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry where she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry in 2012. Throughout her education, Dr. Ott was privileged to work with excellent mentors and receive specialized training in ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, vision therapy, low vision rehabilitation, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management.
Dr. Ott is passionate about eye care and enjoys helping others. Her practice areas of interest include ocular disease and surgical co-management. She is committed to providing quality and comprehensive eye care to a broad range of patients.
Dr. Ott is an active member of the Horatio Alger Alumni Association and has previously served as an advisory board member. She is passionate about giving back to underprivileged youth and helping form a brighter future for the Nation’s future leaders and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Ott married another Baldwin County native, Walker Ott, in 2011. He is an educator in Baldwin County and they currently reside in Foley. They welcomed their first son, Nathan, in 2012 and their second son, Kyle, in 2015. In her free time, Dr. Ott enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, kayaking, and relaxing on the beach.
